Swapping boxes between rooms

I have a TIVO box in one room and a V+HD box in another. Can I swap these boxes round without an engineer or any input from Virgin? Thanks

The TiVo is designed to be left on permanently, if it's switched off it can't record for a start!Leaving it turned off can also cause problems with it doing the updates it needs to.
