Re: What Price Loyalty?

Hi Jollityfarm,

Thanks for your post.

I'm really sorry that you didn't feel valued when you spoke to our team over the phone. I can assure you that it's quite the opposite, and we wouldn't like you to leave.

Whilst we're not able to do a package review over these forums, I'd recommend getting in touch with our team one last time so we can double check to see if there isn't anything better to offer.

Thank you,

Melissa

Re: What Price Loyalty?

I'm not tied into a contract with them, so 30 days notice should be fine. I note what you say about the BB speed and that's certainly a consideration. There's a fair bit of mulling over to do....

Re: What Price Loyalty?

Thank you, melissa

I'm happy to phone one last time

Re: Picture dropout Black Screen with new V6 box & Samsung TV

Thanks for getting back to us.

Have you been able to try a different HDMI cable and port to see if that helps?

Is it intermittent or is it happening all the time?

Let us know.

Thank you,

Melissa

Re: Pixelated Picture

Thanks for checking for us Nathjones28.

Can you tell us what you've tried so far?

Have you checked the cabling including the HDMI cable?

Can you check that the TV Box is well ventilated?

Thanks,

Lisa

Re: What Price Loyalty?

Thank you JollityFarm.

It would be great to hear how you get on.

Thanks

Re: What Price Loyalty?

Just had the same experience, if you have a look there's loads of posts in the last few days about the same so its common. I find if you get the Indian Call Centre they couldn't care less if you leave. Get the UK centre and always managed to get a deal so I need to try again. shame you have to do this just to get a reasonably priced deal.

Re: Issues with TiVo box. And no support answering phone calls

Already have but the alarming wait for someone to pick up getting ridiculous.   Other than that after speaking to support felt like he was patronising, going though all the ways to check to make sure it's not your tv, your on the right source and so on. These checks I did over an hour and half last night eventually sorted it out but your sever status still detects a fault with equipment.   Also you support rep did not ask what version of TiVo box we currently have but posting a TiVo v6 box out.     We're not going to get billed for this I hope ?

Re: Picture dropout Black Screen with new V6 box & Samsung TV

I am staggered that for the huge amount of money we hand over every month, Virgin cannot provide a functioning V6 box.

OK i seemed to have fixed this. My Virgin box automatically selects the highest standard video output at 2160p for my Samsung 4K TV. But Virgin struggles to maintain the output at that level and frequently drops the picture. If you also select the 1080p video output format in settings it seems to act as a backstop and solves the intermittent drop out.

I am staggered that this is not more widely publicised by Virgin nor their technical staff. I have literally wasted days of my life trying to find this simple solution.

Re: Issues with TiVo box. And no support answering phone calls

First thing mate they are not my customer service reps I don’t work for VM if you did not ask regarding payment for V6 box I suggest that you call back to confirm if there is a payment due.

Re: What Price Loyalty?

Let’s be honest if you lived in India would you be bothered about how much someone in the UK was paying for there cable utilities NO you would not and given how much they get paid getting customers to add to there package probably increases there weekly wage.

Re: Issues with TiVo box. And no support answering phone calls

Hi as praxis has pointed out this is a public forum so customers like you & me try to help other people with technical issues, if you call early 8am you should get through quicker as you need to be tenacious if you want anything done.Regards Micky

Re: What Price Loyalty?

If you call during UK business hours (08.00-10.00 best) and go through to "Cancellations" you should get a UK call centre as - if I understand correctly - they are the only people who can negotiate deals.

Re: Issues with TiVo box. And no support answering phone calls

And if you have a Tivo and they are posting a V6 out - expect a charge of around £130.

-----------------------------------------
Existing customers adding TV:
£35 setup fee. £30 network installation fee where Quick Start is unavailable. £99.95 V6 activation fee applicable to TV packages for each V6 box. £7.50 monthly recurring service extension fee for each extra V6 box. V6 activation fee applies in Ultimate Oomph Bundles after second V6 box.
---------------------------------------

Re: Issues with TiVo box. And no support answering phone calls

Thanks guys and sorry if I said he's one of your reps.  Problem is the call always seems to goto an none English / British call centre and they seemed to be following a script instead of helping a customer to the issues.  Either way if a v6 box turns up it's going back.    Made few other phone calls to a decent guy stating it won't cost us anything extra after reporting last box is faulty it just a upgrade as there doing away with the old boxes

Re: Sky Comedy

just looked "forward" and Universal 121 & 122 are "Channel No Longer Available" from 6am on Monday 27th so hopefully Sky Comedy will appear on another number somewhere

Re: What Price Loyalty?

I have to say, in the past VM have always offered me a great deal to keep me. I only moved to Sky 18 months ago as i wanted UHD content (Sky Sports, Cinema, TV shows).

So I am coming back to VM on 8th Feb 🙂

Re: What Price Loyalty?

..and that is part of my issue. The Indian call centre really couldn't care less and I was furious. They had a really 'take it or leave' attitude and so much gets lost within the nuances of language and dialogue as well, that it wasn't possible for me to reason with the guy I spoke with. Like I said, I will try again and see if I c=get this resolved and happy to post here when I do so - regardless of outcome.

Re: What Price Loyalty?

Re: Sky Comedy

According to next week's Radio Times, the channel numbers for Sky Comedy will be 121 & 122.
