I cannot get my Virgin Media TV remote to pair with my new Hitachi TV!

I have tried all the 50 or so codes on the Help & Settings bar but nothing!

Is there any other way of sorting it?

Sorry to hear of this steve020359, has this improved at all since your last post on Wednesday?

If you cant update the tablet, does it still say that you need to update once it fails? Have you done anymore updates recently to the operating system or software recently? This maybe a system glitch if the tablet thinks that you haven't updated but you have via a different method.

If you're able to clear the notification away does it come straight back?

Hello

If you check here for a list of codes :- https://assets.virginmedia.com/help/assets/documents/audio_remote_code_list.pdf

The only one I can find for Hitachi is 1020

Following :- https://www.virginmedia.com/help/virgin-tv-using-tv-remote#tab1

Programming your remote using a device code

You can also programme the correct code into your remote from the device code list.

  1. Make sure your AV device and your Virgin TV V6 box are switched on
  2. Find your make of AV device and the 4 digit code(s) that match it here. If there‘s more than one code for your AV device, try the codes in the order listed
  3. Press and hold down Clear and press Volume Up at the same time, until the light on the top of the remote flashes green twice
  4. Enter the four digit code for your AV device's make from the list. The LED should then flash green twice. This shows you’ve entered a valid code
  5. Press Volume Up / Down and Mute to check that the remote is working. If not, repeat the steps above using a different code for your AV device from the list

The remote can only store one device code type at a time. This means that you can’t control two AV devices at the same time.

If this doesn't work then I afraid that there is no way of controlling your TV.

Regards Mike

Hi if you don't have an account yourself with Virgin then it will be very difficult to achieve this as they are always happy to serve thier own customers.Regards Micky

Hi Dommi35,

Thanks for your post. Yeah the boxsets would be on the Maxit TV bundle, and I can see from checking you've called and spoke to the team since posting 🙂

Hope all is sorted and have a lovely evening.

Kind regards,

Virgin Media users, I'm finding that the issue has returned during BBC1 HD LIVE on Would I Lie to you, please confirm.

@Hollybobs1

Sound issues returned during Would I Lie to you, can you confirm Virgin Media if you hear them too?

Yes, it seems to be back (Glasgow, BBC1 HD, VM, Channel 101), during the 10 o'clock news.

@modteam

As you will have noted the issue has returned, its obviously a Blackhill transmitter issue as it's affecting BT aerial freeview customers!

What next, any ideas?

Glad to hear that you and the engineer could fix your issue Chireg69. Have you had any further issues since 7400 error that you managed to resolve?

Hi everyone,

well the comments already here do not surprise me as I am also experiencing the same return of the sound issues in Dundee on VM 101 BBC1 HD Scotland. This coincided with the channel listings for BBC1 on the guide being for the BBC news channel(601), so haven’t known the running order for today!

i hope the moderators for VM take this forwards and I will also raise another complaint with the BBC so the issue can be addressed  from both sides once again.

It all seemed so good for a while didn’t it! Here’s hoping for some progress on this please @modteam

Please delete any previous link that I have sent regarding this and use the one below. By using the link below you can create a case for your own home address which will when submitted will give you a complaint case ID for you only.
