Hi Ben I stand corrected on that, but would they do it for a month.Regards Micky
There is a 30 day notice period to remove channels after you've added them but you could give that within a day or so after adding them on.
Re: On Oomph Package But Box Sets Wants Me To Upgrade?.
Unresolved Package Issue
If VirginMedia call me, what number do they use? Or what will it start with?
Thanks
Re: Unresolved Package Issue
Hello
Normally when virgin media call you they will ask you to pass account security, i.e. are you the account holder and then will ask for you password, or other security info like account number, amount of last bill as an example. They have to do this to access your account.
There should always be some form of Security verification during the call, preferable at the beginning.
There are various numbers depending on the department.
Regards Mike
Re: Unresolved Package Issue
Thanks for that. It will be from the Retention Team, who say they called me but left no message. Just don’t want to give them the excuse of “we called but no answer....”
Returning old kit to Virgin
Hello. I received a V6 TiVO a while ago to replace the old box (our 6th, after repeated failure!) and now I come to cancel the 'second room' option on my package, I was asked to return the old kit. The Returns kit took weeks to arrive but when it finally did I was quick to box up the really old box and mail it back to Virgin via Connect+. Weeks later, I am receiving threatening emails and Texts to say I will be charged if I don't return the kit, with no way to respond to the emails ('no-reply'@). The only way is to call Customer Services, but I was 50 minutes on hold before speaking to anyone, who then told me they had marked my account as 'do not charge' and advised me to ignore the threats. I've just had my 'last chance' email, and I'm worried I will still be charged - has anyone had a similar experience? More than once I have thought about USwitch! It's appaling that you can't contact anyone to appeal or ask for confirmation that the returned kit reached them. I'd appreciate any help, this is getting worrying. Simon
Re: Returning old kit to Virgin
I had a similar experience with my V6 box Virgin Media drop the ball on this almost everyday and for a company that are so adamant that they want there equipment back they do not make returning there stuff an easy process.
If you used Collect+ to return you kit you should have received a receipt with a tracking number on it if you still have it go online to collect+ web site and input tracking number and it will tell you exactly where your package is.
Then it’s back on the phone to tell them the same information hopefully you will not get the same muppet I got who asked me why I had sent it there to which I replied “ that’s the address that was on the return sticker that came in the pack “
I also told them if I was charged for the kit that I had already returned that I would cancel my remaining services and take my business elsewhere NO charge was ever added to my account.
Re: Series Link+ for RuPaul's Drag Race UK
Are the programs you mention as shown on Netflix & Amazon, also shown on linear TV at some point? What are they?
Loads and loads of programmes that have never been shown on linear TV but are available on Netflix and Amazon. The Purge (TV series) for example but there are probably hundreds!
In the meantime, you can surely set a bookmark to BBC3 content which then appears in "my shows"?
That's what I'm trying to do, but the programme hasn't been loaded into the V6/TiVo database so it doesn't come up in Search.
Virgin Media Connect App
Hi all,
I have a Virgin tv box connected to my router and tv in my living room. I would like to put a small smart tv in the bedroom where I only have a power source. Can I download the Virgin Media Connect App on the smart tv and receive WiFi tv from the living room tv box? I spoke with somebody at Virgin who said that I could but I’m not confident and would rather be sure before buying a tv.
Re: Registering for Netflix via My Virgin Media
Deleted. Somehow I posted on thread thread. Sorry.
Re: Virgin Media Connect App
The two TV apps are Virgin TV Go and Virgin TV Control, the Connect one has nothing to do with TV.
Neither of them allow output to a TV, you can only use them on the screen of a mobile or tablet.
Re: No service , error code w02
I am getting error code W02 with some of my channels.
Ive called the customer service number and that sent a signal to my box and told me to reset it but that didn’t work. How can this be fixed?
ITV HD- Player TV (M)
Hi
I want to watch Doc Martin series 8 and I have ITV HD as part of my package. (Player TV (M))
However TIVO says I must subscribe.
Can anyone help please?
error code s102
Please can someone help 😩 we have the error code s102 and have been sat on the phone for 55 minutes and then got cut off! We only joined today!
Re: error code s102
New V6 install?
Have you made the activation call?
Re: ITV HD- Player TV (M)
I would imagine that, as series 8 is an old series, it is available as a boxset.
Boxsets are not available to the basic Player level of TV, I believe.
Re: ITV HD- Player TV (M)
Beat me to it.
Boxsets are indeed only included on XL/Maxit/Full House.
It's not always clear, but when a complete series is listed like this - the chances are it's not "CatchUp" but Boxsets.
EPG Incorrect
Good Evening
Both my V6 box and Tivo boxes are showing incorrect information within the EPG, this is causing issues with series links not recording and generally not knowing what is on TV at any given time.
Currently, C4 is showing Secret Life At The Zoo on for 2 hours from 8PM - 10PM, where it should show that from 8PM-9PM and then The Accident from 9PM-10PM, this has caused issues recording 'The Accident as it's not even showing as being on.
Service status shows no issues in my area with TV?? Does anyone else have this issue at the moment?
Thanks
Re: ITV HD- Player TV (M)
so I assume if I upgrade to MIX TV then I still wont get box sets?
Trying to find a way forwards. Currently I pay £52 monthly and am an average internet user (eve/wkend) , watch/record TV (TV (M)) and don't touch the phone.
Seems costly when I cant even watch a previous episode of a regular TV show
