any one know why my telly tablet is sayin update this app now

does any one no why my telly tablet is saying update thi app now and when i sau update it then goes to ww1.virgingateway.net. and nothing is there for the telly tablet

It could be years before an app is available for VM customers. In the meantime there will be several options as Disney+ will be available on these devices at launch:

  • Desktop web browsers
  • Android mobile
  • Android TV
  • Chromecast
  • iPad
  • iPhone
  • Apple TV
  • PlayStation 4
  • Roku player
  • Roku TV
  • Xbox One

For me a Roku streaming stick plugged into my AVR (for surround sound) would work well.

Charged for kit I don't have

I recently closed my service and have returned all the kit I had. However I am now being additionally charged for kit I have never had. I did add TV to my package, because it was cheaper with it than without. However I never wanted or needed the TV, so didn't expect any more kit. Now you say you sent me some kit on 23 Aug 2018 which I was not expecting, so I didn't know you had sent it. I never received it, but now you are asking for it back. I spoke to someone at the call centre called "Abdul Rahama" at your call centre (who said his manager was Paurub). He just said I had to either send back or pay for kit I never received. I was given the tracking number JD0002251299873666 by Abdul, but Loreza from Yodel says that the number is invalid (which may explain why I never received the kit). Can someone help, please?

additional tv box removed by accident

i rang as my discount was coming to an end and wanted to make sure i reduced my package to keep it the same price.

at the beginning of the convo i mentioned i would be able to go from 3 tv boxes to 2 as i don't use mine much. However the assistant basically said it would make no difference to my bill amount whether i had them or not. 

In the end i decided to just reduce my TV package from the max amount of channels to the mid amount of channels. 

Currently pay £71, with no action on my part it would have gone up to £89 a month, but now it will be £76 a month. All ok except for the email i got confirming my choice to go to the mid TV package also says extra box cancellation which i was pretty sure i said i didnt want to do as she herself told me it would be pointless. 

Will one of my boxes just suddenly stop working? do i have to ring and explain everything again? my contract seems yet to be signed.

Series Link+ for RuPaul's Drag Race UK

Is there a reason why RuPaul's Drag Race UK can't be Series Link+'d on Virgin TV?

It's not broadcast on linear TV (only on BBC Three on BBC iPlayer) but that's not really a reason, as there are plenty of TV programmes only shown on Netflix or Amazon Prime that can be Series Link+'d.

It would make accessing the show much easier, and helpful to be reminded when a new episode is available from My Shows.

I wanted to get BT sports for one month. Need to know the cost of it. I tried to call virgin Media several times but after a long delay there was no reply.  Any other way of getting the channel

As per the topic. I've completed all troubleshooting; turned everything off and on a crazy amount of times; tried a different hdmi cable etc but no joy.

Can anybody make any suggestions? Service status suggests no issues either.

Assuming you've already rebooted your box, the connections are all tight and it's still happening?

Call Virgin and report the problem.

Just checked and all of the 'upgrade to watch' messages have changed to 'included in your package'. Tried a couple and they are playing correctly so well done to Virgin for listening and sorting out.

Are the programs you mention as shown on Netflix & Amazon, also shown on linear TV at some point? What are they?

In the meantime, you can surely set a bookmark to BBC3 content which then appears in "my shows"?

if you only want the channels for a month and you want to know the cost you really need to talk to retentions for that call 150 options 1 1 4 5 call early they open at 8am

Hi virgin will not give give you BT for a month you will need to upgrade to a package that includes it.Regards Micky

No one is saying you have to buy one, it's been pointed out that this box is being fazed out so remotes are now limited, but if you are determined to keep using it that is the only way to get one, it's more sensable to obtain a current box which comes with a remote.

The Mobile version image on the actual web page has been reduced so much its unreadable, especially the 'small print'

So you have to download to read the alleged validity date.

Meanwhile seem to be suffering aftershocks of the big October changes with minor changes in Factual.  However only announced in screen popups.
Neither the PDF Guide webpage announcement, nor news here has any information.

Why can't VM have a standard procedure for all announcements so its easier to find channels again?
Meanwhile, where will H2 move to when PBS moves to its 273?

You can add BT Sport channels as a standalone option on TV packs that don't include it.

The fact that you have menus is the giveaway.

You have an HDCP handshake issue with the TV. The TV & the V6 have to establish this to unscramble the channels & make them visible.

I would try another lead (preferably HDCP 2.2 capable) & try other sockets on the TV if there are any.

Trying other devices on the TV that require a handshake would rule out the TV being at fault.
