So, is Full House now going to lose all the kids channels?

'A dedicated Kids Pick is also available on Player and Full House packages and will keep Virgin Media’s youngest viewers entertained for just £5 per month. This includes 11 channels, such as Disney XD, Nickelodeon and the Cartoon Network, as well as many episodes available via catch-up and box sets.'

Note that only the BBC, ITV and Pop kids channels still show as 'Full House', with the rest only under 'V.VIP'

So.

Are a load of channels being removed from my bundle, then? And I can only get them back if I pay £5 a month?

TV Guide gone blank

Hi, I've just switched my TV & tivo box on & all the current & upcoming programmes are misding. The TV Guide just lists "to be advised" for all channels & all my planned recordings have vanished. I've tried restarting the tivo & re-connecting to the service but it's still the same. It was fine last night.

I like the concept of this, no doubt borrowing from what Sky did a couple of years back although Virgin are retaining the existing package structure too.

Some very quick maths - I make it £24 difference between Player & Full House, the packs are £10 initially plus £7 each so at 2 packs there's probably enough of a saving to justify going pick&mix rather than Full House. At 3 packs, you may as well go Full House - not unlike the Sky Sports pricing model. Each pack seems to include HD variants where available.

It's a V6. I've tried getting it to reconnect to the mobile service & after half an hour it's got to 30%.

Are you connecting it to the Hub by wifi or ethernet cable ? It will always be better and quicker with the cable.

I think they will have two versions of Full House on their systems in the future. The old one with the Pay TV Kids channels, but it will no longer be sold to new customers. And the new Full House which will cost less but not contain the Pay TV Kids channels.

The new Full House lineup doesn't contain the Pay TV Kids channels, so I imagine the New Full House will have to be cheaper.

Going on Virgin Media only seem to be selling the following tiers: Player, Player+Drama (or other bundle), Full House (now without Pay TV kids channels) and V.VIP based on the new table on their website.

By ethernet cable. It's finally finished & the guide is repopulated but it's forgotten my favourite channels & all the series links are greyed out. Am hoping restarting the box will sort that out.

Excellently spotted re the kids channels - I'd skimmed through the list but kids are right at the bottom, funny that :-)

As you say, the "new" Full House should by rights be £5 cheaper than the existing one. Bet it's not, and the rebranding is a price rise in disguise.

If Virgin are happily dumping SD channels at the moment like Sky News and others then there is no excuse for not swapping to Sky Sports Racing HD, the existing agreement should not apply as it is a different channel it was At The Races it wasnt just a name change it was supposed to be a whole new channel broadcasting from a different part of the country therefore the agreement should have been amended or redrawn or renegotiated.

Sky News SD is still available. Sky Racing HD is not part of the current Sky basics or Sky Premiums agreements Virgin has entered into.

The box outside my house has been damaged and the door is loose. I’m not a VM customer and would like it removed from my lawn please. I can’t park my car there currently as the door is loose and may bash any car that parks there. Could someone urgently come to see it please.

Thank you Hero. I have fitted a new HDMI cable and a Cat6a cable. I have sound now. But the tv screen still says weak or no signal and when I select Source on the TV handset all the HDMI options are greyed out and I am left with just TV to select. which is not giving me a picture . Should the HDMI cable run from the TV to the Tivo or to my Sony amp? Can't see why the setup has been working for years and then one day switching on I have this problem! I can still play music through my DVD/cd  player but not films. Really need advice on who to ask to come and check/set it up for me again as it is proving beyond meSmiley Sad

Hi there ruby4,

Welcome to the forums and thanks so much for your first post.

Sorry to understand that there is a damaged box by your home - are you able to confirm if you mean one of our green/grey cabinets?

Once we have confirmation, we can then take some information from you privately so we can send one of our dedicated team to repair this.

Thanks

Connect the TV directly to the V6 to see if there is a problem.

I am getting lost now.
The smart TV needs a direct connection to the Hub with an ethernet cable (preferably) in order to use its "smart" functions and Apps. To watch VM tv channels/catch up/etc on your smart tv - the V6 (it is a v6 and not a Tivo - right?) needs connecting with an HDMI cable to a "working" HDMI port on the tv. and the V6 also needs connecting to the Hub - preferably by ethernet cable.  Hub and V6 need coax connections to the VM network too of course.
Is that how you are cabled up ?
