- Years ago you could pay to watch a single football match on Sky and the cost would be added to your next monthly bill. Is this service still available to virgin customers who do not have Sky included in their package?

Changes to TV channels to choose
I was told that VM is making changes to the way you can adjust your subscription to channels aka instead of packages etc like sport, movies and family.... That you can asctually remove channels so you pay for what you want.
For example I want to remove ALL sport channels and remove ALL children's channels and hopefully remove ALL adult channels and so then I'm not aging for things I don't watch.... Like most I do most of my watching via streaming services etc.
And this is to start at the end of April?
Cabling
There are 2 X reel of cable on my property that have been left by a cable puller. I never agreed for virgin to attend my property or to store Thier goods. I have contacted customer service three times with promises of a call back but no one ever does. Unless someone contacts me to either arrange installation or to remove cable in 5 working days I will remove them myself.
Can you please contact me to remedy this situation. I am not a virgin media customer nor have I signed a wayleave. I am landscaping that area of the garden next week and the cables will need to be removed for me to do that.
Re: Strike Back Season 7
Hi WTALLY,
Thanks for posting this for us. Can you do a reboot on your box for me and try again please?
Thanks

No Picture or sound on Samsung TV.
After a number or years working fine, switched off Samsung Smart tv yesterday and today no picture or sound. On screen message says 'HDMI source not found' or 'cannot connect to router'. HDMI choice does not appear in the menu when pressing source on TV remote.
Re: Cabling
Hi ryan44,
Thank you for your post. I'm sorry to hear this.
Are the cables installed in your garden/property our outside it?
If you have any pictures can you please provide these?

Re: No Picture or sound on Samsung TV.
If that doesnt work try a different TV or computer monitor connected to the V^ to see if the fault lays with the V6 or the TV.
Re: Football matches on Sky
Assuming you mean watch a single Sky match on VM TV - No. Best you can do is watch this via NowTV with a Skysports day pass (or week or month or what you want)
Re: Error code ES004
Hi GustavoHunter
Welcome to our community forum pages and thank you for posting.
We are sorry to hear that you have been receiving an error message when using the service.
Has this been continuing since your last post?
Re: Changes to TV channels to choose
That sounds very unlikely.
Re: Error code ES004
Yes. It's ongoing. Every night at 9pm. Fir 2 weeks.
New Pick'n'Mix pack options
Mentioned in amongst other VM news today.
Pick ‘n’ Mix TV packs With Personal Picks, customers can pick and mix their TV options to create a personalised TV line-up and control the price they pay for the telly they love every month.
Available with Virgin Media’s great value Player bundle, customers can add up to four Entertainment Picks: Entertainment & Drama, Entertainment & Documentaries, Entertainment & Lifestyle and Entertainment & Sport Lite.
Each Pick includes Sky One, Sky Witness, Gold HD and Comedy Central HD as well as a great selection of channels relating to each of the four genres, plus must-see box sets.
Customers can add one Pick to their bundle for £10 per month with each subsequent Pick costing £7 per month. Picks can be changed every month.
A dedicated Kids Pick is also available on Player and Full House packages and will keep Virgin Media’s youngest viewers entertained for just £5 per month. This includes 11 channels, such as Disney XD, Nickelodeon and the Cartoon Network, as well as many episodes available via catch-up and box sets.
Customers can also add a range of premium TV packs to their bundle such as Sky Sports, Sky Cinema HD and BT Sport, as well as subscribe to Netflix, Hayu and Starzplay.
On top of this, Full House and V.VIP customers can experience blockbuster entertainment in stunning 4K Ultra High Definition with the Virgin TV Ultra HD channel. All customers can enjoy their favourite shows included in their bundle on the move with the Virgin TV Go app which can be accessed across multiple devices such as mobiles, tablets and laptops.
Customers can watch live TV, catch up and on-demand box sets and Full House and V.VIP customers can also download a host of shows to watch offline.
LutzSchüler concluded: “Our new Personal Picks mean viewers can tune into the shows they love, picking and mixing the best channels around with the freedom and flexibility to change them every month. “Whether it’s binge-worthy dramas like The Walking Dead, unearthing the planet’s secrets with a dazzling documentary or making sure they’re keeping up with Kardashians, Virgin Media customers can build a top telly line-up and stay in control of the price they pay for their package.”
Re: Intermittent Pixelation on TV
Hi hamtrektng,
Very sorry to hear this.
Are you just experiencing this on the Sky Cinema channels? Are you watching live TV or are you watching a film from Sky Cinema on demand?
Thanks

Re: Changes to TV channels to choose
They are now introducing Add On packs. https://community.virginmedia.com/t5/Virgin-TV/New-Pick-n-Mix-pack-options/td-p/3980176
But no option to remove channel types, with one exception, which has been there for many years. There is an option in the Settings menus to remove the Adult channel listings from your TV Guide.
These Add On packs seem to be aimed at lower packs adding services rather than the other way around.
Re: New Pick'n'Mix pack options
So, will us existing full house users be grandfathered in? Or will I lose channels (save money)?
I don't need the kids pack, but it is in the current Full House? So if this goes - I hope to see a £5 reduction in my bill?

I get the impression it's not a replacement for any existing service tier, and it's for adding to a lower tier, it won't be to remove anything.

I've got a Virgin sim, how do you get a broadband boost?

I believe it is only for those on selected tariffs, it's not just a case of all Virgin Mobile customers getting it.
