That sounds like your hard drive is on the way out, which will mean a replacement box, so you should probably phone the fault in and get VM to arrange an engineer visit.

No, all Virgin Media bills have to be paid in full and on time.You have no credit with Virgin Media. The credit limit is a mechanism to stop you purchasing excessive PPV or making excessive phone calls.
