Hi Nat_J thanks for your reply, wifi and phone line etc was back on by the morning but we missed the rest of the boxing that we paid for and it didn't record so we couldn't watch it the next day. So can we have a refund please. Thanks

Just to be clear, you can turn the PIN off for the majority of things. However Sky Cinema channels and recordings will always ask for it.

This is required by OFCOM is exchange for Sky being able to films outside their normal watershed hours.

I wouldn't bother. I'm beyond disbelief having been told ondemand is simply a free service, something they cannot refund for! 

The fact they advertise it, promote it.  The fact it's a major component of the box's experience - seems not to matter.  It's free, so no refund!

It has been weeks, and the continual bumping forward of the fix date, beyond frustrating. I've been watching something on sky ondemand - and now has disappeared.

 

come on virgin, let's be honest and open and tell us the problem.

Hi can anyone please help, since I've had virgin fitted I can't access my account it always says that I've entered the wrong details ,I've had virgin try to do it too and it says the same. Also I have no on demand service just says try again in a few minutes and virgin just don't care not sure what I'm meant to do now.

 Surely, the content that we record is owned by BBC, ITV etc i.e. the content makers. I am not a lawyer but I think the most that VM can claim ownership of is the hard drive on which said recordings exist.


What I am meaning is VM has control over the content on behalf of the content owner, who obviously cannot control VM's boxes themselves.

Thank you for your response.  I am unable to access Catch Up so am unable to tell you which channels are effected.  Message on screen says: "Catch up is temporarily unavailable.  Please try again in a few minutes".  My landline is still dead.

Been reading this forum about free tivo upgrades.  Which boxes are affected please as i haven't been offered this? I have a samsung v+box. Could this be why I'm having problems?

The free upgrades to TiVo are only for the Scientific Atlanta variant of the V+ which will no longer operate after the end of this month.

You should report the problems with your Samsung V+ and have them attended to.

I Recently upgraded to TiVo downstairs but upon activation my upstairs standard Tv box has stopped receiving channels?

You should have moved your old downstais box upstairs. Your upstairs box has been deactivated

so poke a tv aerial out of the window - tune into freeview. unless your mobile home site is inside a mountain that should work ?

 or use the web site and watch /listen to  country TV with your broadband - I already googled & posted the link for you

 do you need someone to actually click it for you ?
