Its end of contract time. Child number 2 is due and time to re-negotiate. I tried to call retentions but it seems to be closed, yet the automated response says open 8am til 10pm. Its currently 19.33???

I'm on the VIP for £91pm. New customers are getting it for £89 and the average in my area seems to be about £90. Sky are offering pretty much everything for £78. I'd stay for the ease of it, but so far, the best is £99 plus £50 bill credit, yesterday. Dont really fancy paying more for th same package. Anyone had any dealings with retentions, and know why they seem to be unduly closed?

Retentions are UK based & are only open six days a week.

You won't get new customer deals, as the industry regulator actively encourages providers to favour them in order to get people to switch regularly & make the figures look like competition is working

I have now received the Transfer of Responsibilty form but I wish to change some parts of my current deal as I no longer require 2 additional boxes before I sign up for a further minimum period.

The form sent does not appear to give you anywhere to change anything.

Can someone help please

Hi, i signed up 6 months ago when the free tv offer was on. I was supposed receive my tele 28day after taking the contract out. 6 months later, I’m been told I’m not eligible and got send in proof that I was offered the tele deal! When the offer ran when I signed up.

Call 150 or 0345 454 1111 options 1-1-4-5 "thinking of leaving" – (They are open Monday - Friday 8am - 8pm and on Saturday from 8am - 6pm. - 08.01 is best!) you usually get a UK call centre (it might still be a 30’+ wait though) who are more understanding and helpful.  Expain your issues to them  and they will give you best information and/or try and sort it for you as it’s their job to keep customers.

Depends if the deal with Virgin includes this content as to whether its available. Catch up/OD on Virgin uses 2 different methods for access.

The BBC & the streaming companies (Netflix etc) use apps that connect to the internet.

The rest of the channels use the actual cable broadcast infrastructure, creating a unique channel targeted at the cabinet you are connected to. The downside of this is that you cannot download or record these on your box for viewing later.

Complaints

I have completed 2 complaints forms about my TV service - the second because I had no response to the first. I have automated replies to both saying that the Resolution team will be in touch within 7 days. The second of those replies was 2 weeks ago. How can I find out what is happening? There are no reference numbers and ringing up was no help.

So I just called customer support and asked about a subscription too All4....the young gentleman on the other end of the phone had no idea what All4 was and could find no information within Virgin media on said channel. Anyway if I subscribe is it free or do Virgin media charge for it ?

All4 is channel 4's catch-up service. The All4 app is not available to Virgin Media customers & content is provided via Virgins TV playout system. As a result the selection of programmes is not the same as you get on the app.

Channel 4 catch-up on Virgin is free.

How can I get Virgin media UK customer support? Seems the ladies and Gents in other parts of the world are happy too just fob you off. Anyone got a direct number for UK customer service, please?

There is no way to guarantee getting UK staff.

You will get help on these fora but it is best to place your question in the correct sub forum.

There isn't one. Its just pot luck whether you get offshore or UK depending on how busy they are. As VM are closing Swansea soon you are even more likely to go offshore.

Not all of the jobs from that call centre will be lost as VM have already said they are transferring 220 of the jobs to Scotland.

Virgin Media moves 220 jobs to Scotland - bbc.co.uk

Hi Nixola,

I'm really sorry to hear that you're having issues watching ITV content on demand. (Maggietutor - I've replied to you on your other thread).

I've run some testing on your set top box, and I'm currently unable to communicate with it. This could be because the box is powered off at the moment. If it is, could you please power back on and reply here so we can run some further testing.

Many thanks and apologies again

Having real issues with picture breakup on our box.

Checked all cables, status faults in area and run the online 'Test', nothing flagged. Becoming VERY annoying.
