Hi,
I'm looking for some advice. This morning we left the house early and when we came back some workmen had dug up a trench in the pavement outside our property. When we get in the house we find that TV, broadband and phone are all not working.
I don't think this is a coincidence and I am certain the workmen have cut through the the Virgin Media cable that comes from the the road through our front garden and into the house.
There used to be was a small amount of exposed coaxial cable that was visible on the outside corner of our front fence which is now not there and all I've found is the end of what appears to be a cut cable. It seems to me like the workmen have tried to cover up the damage.
At the moment the trench is unfilled and I'm worried that once it is filled it will be difficult to reconnect my house to Virgin Media.
Any advice on what I should do. I've already contacted VM customer services but an engineer won't come out until Wednesday which in the meantime the workmen may have re-tarmac'd the trench.
Thanks in advance!
