When does a 12 month contract become an 18 month contract, when Virgin says it does that's when. When I moved home last year I agreed a 12 month Sky Switcher Deal which was offered to me and I have email as proof. Only have a month left (or so I thought) so phoned to cancel as have a cracking Sky deal on the table £66.15 per month for everything, TV, Movies, Sport, Top Broadband, Top Phone and multiroom. According to call centre my contract doesn't expire until October 2016 as it has been setup as 18 months, which I never agreed to and never signed anything. Apparently this doesn't matter as it was a verbal agreement. No it wasn't. I am now stuck paying well over £100 per month for the next 6 months (the original deal was £80.23 per month) or pay £240 cancellation fee. Unfortunately by the time this gets resolved, if it ever will the Sky deal offered will have been withdrawn. Complaints to Virgin currently in progress.
