Waste of money, and as a pensioner, ill afforded. Not a lot to ask really. Has anyone else 'been had' like this ?

 


Not all films have subtitles. It is up to whoever produced the content and provided it to VM, who are responsible for subtitles being included or not, not VM. You should see clearly in the film's description info before purchasing if subtitles are included or not, so you can make an informed choice. If it mentions subtitles are included and upon pressing the subtitle button on your remote control none showed: you can then ask for a refund. Call into 150 (from a VM phone) or 0345 454 1111 (from all other lines), go into the main menu, report a fault (option 2) and report a TV fault. Ask for a refund.

Additionally, a member of the Forum Team here can look into that film 'Hunger Games Mockingjay part 2' to find out why its subtitle option isn't working. That is if the film lists as having subtitles to begin with - you could have simply rented a film which doesn't offer subtitles.
