Hi Ben,
Although I was a little annoyed that it took a week, the technician confirmed my suspicions that the Tivo box was blown. He also checked the V+ box and Cable modem were OK. He agreed that it was likely caused by a lightning strike and apparently VM has had about 200 calls in our area recently for the same thing.
Tivo was replaced.
Technician was thoroygh and did a good job.
